The Mikoyan Mig-35 (Russian: оян -35, NATO nickname: Fulcrum-F) is an advanced development of the MiG-29M/M2 and MiG-29K/KUB technologies. It is classified as a 4++ generation rovers by Mikoyan.[2] The first prototype of this aircraft is a modification of the aircraft that previously served as a demonstrator for the MiG-29M2. 10 prototypes have been built and are in the stage of extensive field testing.[3] The MiG-35 is now classified as a mid-range fighter due to its take-off weight, which is up to 30 percent higher than the previous prototype, which exceeds the criteria for a light aircraft classification.

The MiG company officially presented this aircraft at an international event at the Aero India airshow in 2007.[4] The MiG-35 was first made public when the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergey Ivanov, visited the MAPO-MIG engine manufacturing plant.[5] The one-seat version is called the MiG-35 and the two-seat version is called the MiG-35D. The fighter gets considerable upgrades in avionics and weapons systems, notably the AESA radar system (GCI) and allows the aircraft to carry out multi-role missions alone.
