Molecular beam epitaxy, a technique in which atoms and molecules are flown into a vacuum and stacked on a substrate to create high-quality thin films and nanostructures. mbe's chamber is the equipment used to realize this technique and consists of a vacuum pump, source cell, substrate holder, thermometer, and pressure gauge. This 3d model reproduces only the outer structure.
