A high quality 3D model of a Rigged Motor model
This rigged motor was originally used within a high-end, 3D illustration style (cartoon) animation. It was a part of a hydrogen fuel cell demonstration, for ease, we rigged the spinning so you have a controller to turn the end connection.
The motor can be scaled to suit whatever you need it for. Electric motors have a wide range of uses. For example, they are found in electric fans, blenders, food processors, elevators, escalators, drilling tools, washing machines, car motors, engine, machine, mechanisms, generator, devices, appliances, conveyor belts, excavators, compactors, trains, planes, automobiles, and robots.
Electric motors are divided into three broad categories, namely, AC motors, DC motors, and special motors. AC motors use alternating currents and convert them into mechanical energy. It is further classified into synchronous and asynchronous motors. DC motors convert direct current to mechanical energy. It is divided into two main types: self-excited motors and separately excited motors. Special motors are used for specific purposes such as rotating, pulling, pushing, and transporting objects. Some examples of special motors are servo motors, direct drive, linear motors, stepper motors, and universal motors. This model is quite a generic motor, so could be used in place of any of those types.
The model is great to use in your games, films as CGI, VR, or animations. It's low poly but holds enough detail to place into a scene for a realistic CGI element.
