SINCE IT SOMETIMES RETAINS BOTH PEDALS AND A DISCRETE CONNECTED DRIVE FOR RIDER-POWERED PROPULSION, THE MOTORIZED BICYCLE IS IN TECHNICAL TERMS A TRUE BICYCLE, ALBEIT A POWER-ASSISTED ONE.
