HISTORICAL NOTE: The NAsH Oswaldo Cruz (U-18) is a vessel of the Brazilian Navy that acts as a hospital assistance ship.

Subordinate to the command of the Flotilla do Amazonas (9th Naval District), it develops health care activities (medical and dental) for riverside communities. It was designed and built at the Rio de Janeiro Marine Arsenal (AMRJ) to operate in the Amazon region, it is the first of its class.
