A cross like this usually lives in quiet places. Above a doorway, near an icon corner, or on a shelf where people light a candle and pause for a moment. This model is designed to feel traditional and warm, with a carved relief front that catches light and a clean, smooth back that makes mounting simple.
The front face carries symmetrical floral and scroll ornamentation running along the vertical and horizontal arms, framed by a raised border that helps the relief stand out after printing. The silhouette has gently widened arm ends and softened transitions, giving it a plaque-like presence. The back is flat and smooth, which suits wall mounting, panel décor, or gluing onto a base or stand. The thickness is consistent enough for practical 3D printing, and the details remain readable for painting, drybrushing, or wood-stain style finishes.
This model is based on an original concept and design. The initial 3D form was generated with the assistance of AI tools, after which it was extensively refined and manually detailed in Blender and other 3D editing software. This workflow ensures the model meets the standards of precision, structure, and print-readiness required for high-quality 3D printing.
Please note that the model is primarily designed for textured versions (OBJ + MTL in ZIP archive), allowing for a rich and visually detailed result when used with color-supported 3D printing or digital rendering. The non-textured version (STL, 3MF) may lack some surface details visible in the textured formats. The formats included are STL, OBJ, MTL, 3MF, FBX, and BLEND inside a ZIP archive, with separate OBJ and STL files for the platform’s 3D viewer.
Technical features and printing recommendations
Recommended print technology
Resin printers for sharper ornamental relief.
FDM printers work well due to the flat back and simple overall geometry.
Suggested resin settings
Layer height: 0.05 mm
Orientation: print flat on the back for a clean relief face
Supports: none when printed flat; add light supports only if angled
Material: standard resin or tough resin if it will be handled often
Suggested FDM settings
Layer height: 0.12–0.20 mm, 0.4 mm nozzle
Walls: 3 perimeters, top layers 5+ for a solid face
Infill: 10–20% depending on desired weight
Supports: none when printed flat on the back
Adhesion: brim optional for larger sizes
Recommended size, time, material
Recommended height: 120–220 mm
Minimum print time to plan for: 240 minutes
Material estimate at ~170 mm: Resin 70–130 g or Filament 80–160 g, depending on thickness and infill
Scaling Note: This model is designed in millimeters (mm). If it appears too small when imported into your slicer, ensure your software is set to mm units. If needed, scale the model up 100x if the slicer defaults to meters instead.
