Originally from the planet Stennaros, in the Har Worlds sector of the Expansion Region, he travels on business to Tatooine in 15 BBY. After his pivotal encounter with monks of the BOmarr Order, he chooses to settle there and like them, he gradually isolates himself from all physical sensations to enhance the power of his mind. In 5 BBY, no longer needing his senses, he regularly moves blindly (passing by the Twilek majordomo Bib Fortuna without seeing him) through the numerous halls of the local monastery, an immense structure in which Jabba the Hutt established his Palace without expelling the members of the monastic Order that built it. In 2 ABY, seven years after he became enlightened and had his brain removed through a special procedure to be placed in a nutrient-filled jar where this organ keeps growing (now occupying a much larger space than before), he still often wanders around the place thanks to an old modified BT-16 perimeter droid making him what is generally called a Walking Brain.
