All parts; including nuts, bolts, washers, etc; were accurately modeled to original Lockheed drawings and AN, MS, and NASM specifications. The package includes the 3D CAD model in DWG (2018), STL, STP, and Parasolid X-B (editable) formats; and a 2D PDF.

The model can be used as a reference for maintenance, restoration purposes, research, and teaching.

The P-38 Lightning Project: Our primary purpose is the review of methods applicable to the design and construction of historical aircraft. The P-38 Lightning has been one of our main subjects for research for which we have developed a number of mechanical assemblies in CAD to ascertain positional relationships and study the construction methods.

The 3D CAD models are professionally developed; some of which are now being made available publicly for the first time.

The original ipt and iam Autodesk Inventor cad files can be made available on special request.
