The Panzerkampfwagen IV (Pz.Kpfw. IV), commonly known as the Panzer IV, was a German medium tankdeveloped in the late 1930s and used extensively during the Second World War. Its ordnance inventorydesignation was Sd.Kfz. 161.
Production of Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. G tanks lasted until June 1943, with a total of 1687 units being produced.Of this number, about 700 tanks received the reinforced armor, and 412 had the KwK 40 L/48 gun installed.
