A periscope. Perfect for an undergrounf bunker. I don’t know how this would work in a submarine since it’s kinda bulky. The crank, knob, upper-shaft, lower-shaft, and center-shaft are all separated for easy animating.

I've included 2 versions of this model: one with the crank and knob already on the model, and one where the crank and knob are centered for easy animating. There's also a Unity package for the Unity game engine users, where everything is already set up.

This is NOT animated, there is a video to prove that the model can be animated if you choose.
