QM_Nut is a Scripted Geometry Plug-in for 3DsMax

Create Nut and Bolt using this plugin.

It is possible to change the parameters such as the inner and outer diameter, the number and depth of threads, the height of the Nut, the setting of the round lathe, and the number of sides and segments.

Also, these parameters can be animated.

How to install?

Copy the script file to one of the following directories:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds max 20XX\scripts\Startup

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\20XX - XXbit\ENU\scripts\startup

Restart 3DsMax to automatically execute script or drag script to viewport to fast execute script.

How to use?

After running the script, a new type of geometry named QM_Nut appears in the Command Panel, Creation tab, under the category QM_Primitives.
Like other primatives objects, you can create it through the mouse tool in the viewport with three click and drag steps.
Like other primatives objects, after creation, you can change its parameters from the modifier panel.
