If you fly R/C jets, you know what an air trap or 'UAT' is. Its a tank designed to capture air in the fuel system and keep it from getting to the turbine. Air in fuel feed to the turbine = flame out = bad day...
The common challenge with UATs is they don't have any fastening features, so you'll need to construct some kind of equipment tray with a big hole in it, then hold it down somehow.
This part is a cradle that holds the UAT with a single zip tie around it, so you can just screw it down. No more need for an elaborate plywood tray. It fully constrains the UAT at a slight nose up angle to push bubbles out when refilling. The cradle has a series of simple bolt flange locations. (I will post models with alternate flanges). I've also worked to keep the material + weight to an absolute minimum, while still providing strength where its needed.
I'm an R/C Jet enthusiast. Flew my first turbine jet in 1999, and my garage has been a mess ever since. I have a 3D printer, and I run Solidworks. I'll try to post as many useful model components as possible, in as many useful configurations as possible.
