MODEL OVERVIEW
- This asset is a sci-fi holoscope designed with real-world logic and modular functionality in mind. It uses a 21 mm rail standard and includes a modular mounting rail for easy attachment to sci-fi rifle platforms. The holoscope frame is designed with functional logic, allowing it to visually support both open and closed configurations, making it suitable for realistic weapon setups, animations, and customization in real-time applications.
FILE FORMAT OVERVIEW
BLEND - Source file with full Blender setup, including clean topology, modular structure, and editable materials. Best for customization and further production.
FBX - Game-ready format tested in Blender and Unreal Engine 5.1.1 with clean transforms (position, rotation, scale). No collision or LODs included.
GLB - Includes embedded PBR materials for quick preview and cross-platform compatibility. Intended for visualization and reference; material editing is limited compared to the Blender file.
OBJ – Provided for geometry compatibility. Materials are not preserved due to format limitations; geometry and UVs are intact, and textures are included for manual reassignment.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
This sci-fi holoscope asset is built using hard-surface and modular modeling techniques, following real-world scale with a 21 mm rail standard. The geometry uses clean topology with properly unwrapped UVs and PBR-based materials.
The model is structured into modular parts, including - SM-MountRail, SM-Housing, SM-Frame-Axis, PM-Frame, PM-Lens, SM-Decal-Emissive, SM-Reticle
MATERIAL OVERVIEW
The asset uses a PBR-based material setup with separate materials for each functional part, including M-MountRail, M-Housing, M-Frame, M-Lens, and M-Decal.
All materials are designed for real-time use and provided with 2K and 4K PBR texture sets, ensuring flexibility for different performance and quality requirements across game and visualization workflows.
A separate decal alpha/opacity map is included for compatibility with other software workflows, though it is not required in the Blender setup.
