While designing Set 2 – the Death Star Shaft – we noticed some leftover space that felt more like an opportunity than a gap. In Rogue One, you see Kyber crystals being transported from the planet Jedha — but where do they all end up? We decided to create an engineering room that uses those crystals to power the Death Star’s massive superlaser.

This set can be build as a standalone set or as part of set 2.
