Description

Expedition ship SS Southern Cross was used as a British Antarctic Expedition vessel in 1898–1900. She was built in Norway in 1886 as whaling ship Pollux. In 1898 a British publisher purchased the Pollux barque for Antarctic exploration. Renamed the Southern Cross, the new owners retrofitted the vessel with auxiliary steam power. The vessel encountered an intense blizzard off the Southwest coast of Newfoundland. It was last heard from during the storm on March 31, 1914 but both vessel and crew were subsequently lost.-This model is suitable for use in any Blender 4.4.3 or later version scene or animation.-This model file contains 95 objects.-This model contains only node color and textures.-All preview images are rendered with Cycles-The surrounding background and onboard figures in picture 2, 4, and 5 not included.-No Photoshop or other compositing software used after being rendered.
