Stade Josy Barthel is the national stadium of Luxembourg, home to the Luxembourg national football team and also used for rugby union and athletics. It is located on route d'Arlon, in Luxembourg City.In 2014 it was announced that an investment of €230,000 would be required to get the stadium up to a sufficient standard to hold the qualifying matches for Euro 2016.In June 2014, it was decided that a new stadium will be built in Kockelscheuer. The stadium would seat 9,000 people and would be dedicated to football and rugby.
