The Magee-Class was seen as the USS Shran, a ship that was part of the Starfleet Armada in Star Trek: Discovery's Season 1 opening episodes, The Vulcan Hello and Battle of the Binary Stars. This ship was originally designed by John Eaves as the USS Aldrin NCC-1166, which had a rollbar for displaying the ship's name, additional impulse engine modules and nacelle winglets.
