Asset Breakdown
Here is a simple explanation of what makes this model special and how it is designed:
The Overall Concept This asset is a fantasy Steampunk vessel. It looks like a mix between a small tugboat and a floating house, built from heavy industrial parts and powered by steam, making it perfect for a fantasy adventure game.
Riveted Metal Hull The boat is not made of wood; it is constructed from thick steel plates held together by hundreds of visible rivets (metal pins). The metal is grey and rusty, suggesting it was built by hand and has survived rough conditions.
Brass Paddlewheel Instead of a propeller, this boat moves using a large, golden brass wheel on the side. This paddlewheel is a signature feature of steam-powered technology, adding a moving mechanical element to the design.
Realistic Barnacles Along the bottom edge where the water touches the boat, there are clumps of white barnacles and coral growing on the metal. This detail tells the player that the boat has been floating in the ocean for a very long time.
Functional Deck Equipment The deck is cluttered with useful machinery, including a tall rusty smokestack (chimney) for the engine, a small crane for lifting cargo, and round brass porthole windows that give it a nautical submarine look.
Technical Notes
Files Included: FBX, GLB, OBJ, STL, ZIP (Textures). Quick Tip: The Barnacles add a lot of detail to the silhouette. If you are animating the boat moving through water, add a Wetness shader to the hull just above the barnacle line to make the metal look slick and splashed.
