LORE:

Rook Medium cruise missiles entered service with the space forces quite a long time ago, back in the days of the Emergency Government and took part in the War of Greed. Since then, its design has remained virtually unchanged, and all modifications were limited to updating the software and replacing individual nodes with more advanced ones. However, the launcher for these missiles has gone through many iterations, giving rise to a huge amount of variation in both form and function. There was everything from single vertical missile silos for a medium gun slot to huge multi-silo systems built into the hulls of warships.This modification of the launcher is designed to be placed in an expanded small gun slot, which allows even light attack ships to be armed with Rooks, adding much-needed mobility to the firepower of the Empire.
