The new Burnett Heads lighthouse was built in 1971 to replace a wooden 1873 tower whose base can still seen nearby. The lighthouse is now one of two Australian Cospas Sarsat satellite ground receiver stations. The other one is at Cave Point, near Albany in Western Australia. The tower rises to 17 m and is a painted concrete structure.

Geo position data included in the native SKP file.
