One of the more strange inventions i had to come up with, this one was for a toothed profile to contain and drive a pinion which in turn guided a hot wire to cut a "tooth " shape in EPS.We made this and wierd as it is, it actually worked although the motion it was not as smooth as we had hoped so we abandoned this method and convinced the client to go the cnc route instead.
