This is a product designed for the »velodroom« competition.
THE BASIC IDEA: The bar that is connecting the bicycle seat and the bicycle frame would be transformable to a 3 legged stool.
THE CONCEPT: The bar would be made out 3 parts, each presenting a third of the connected bar. Two parts of the bar would be connected to a scissors like structure and the third part would be able to rotate between them. The seat would have 4 holes, one for the connected bar which would be used while cycling and 3 for the three different parts,used when sitting.
USAGE OF THE IDEA: I had this unique idea in my head for a long time and this competition gave me the opportunity to show it in my prototype. How I came up with this? Even if you lock your bicycle, in big cities people will still steal your seats. Thats why many people remove their seats to avoid this problem. Also in big cities some distances are just to big to be traveled by bicycle, thats why you have to combine your riding with traveling by bus or train. From my own experience I can tell, that many times you have to wait from 30 to 60 minutes for your train or bus to come. It is much easier to spend this time sitting then standing. So I combines this 2 problems and came up with this solution. This product would be also very useful when traveling in nature. Sometimes you want to sit down, but you can not do that on wet grounds or muddy terrain. So this would be very intereseting for mountain bikers.
As far as I know, my prototype is unique, I have never seen anything like it or heard of any idea even close to mine. I know that my idea is very strange, but I am sure that people would be interested in it, because most of them rather sit then stand.
