3ds Max 2016. V-Ray 5. File formats obj, fbx without fur. Tricolor Cowhide Rug #A27043. The scene contains two objects: the rug and splines (hair_spline). Hair_splines are in box mode to prevent interface lag. To view splines, select hair_spline, right-click, choose object properties from the dropdown menu, and uncheck display as box. If the fur is not scaled correctly, in the hair and fur settings, open the tools scroll and activate Recomb From Splines and specify spline_hair, and the fur will adjust to the correct size. If the size is correct, hair_spline can be deleted. Before rendering, go to the Rendering - Effects tab, click Hair and Fur and select mr prim mode below. If there are issues with fur rendering, write to me, and I will try to help. Size: 185x154 cm. In the rug settings, the number of hairs is set to 500,000 for close-ups, for medium and distant shots it can be reduced. For users with weaker computers, immediately lower the number of hairs to 100-200 thousand and adjust the hair thickness. You can also convert it to geometry and create a proxy. System units are mm.
