3ds Max 2016. V-Ray 5. File formats: obj, fbx without fur. Tricolor Cowhide Rug #A27287. The scene contains two objects: the rug and splines (hair_spline). The hair_spline are in box mode to prevent the interface from lagging. If you want to see the display of the splines, select hair_spline, right-click, and choose Object Properties from the dropdown menu, then uncheck Display as Box. If the fur is not scaled correctly, go to the Hair and Fur settings, open the tool scroll, and activate Recomb From Splines, then specify spline_hair, and the fur will adjust to the correct size. If the size is correct, you can delete the hair_spline. Before rendering, go to the Rendering - Effects tab, click on Hair and Fur, and select the mr prim mode below. If you encounter issues with fur rendering, contact me, and I'll help you. Size: 203x175 cm. The rug settings have the hair count at 500,000 for close-up shots, which can be reduced for medium and long-range shots. For weaker computers, immediately reduce the hair count to 100-200 thousand and adjust the hair thickness. You can also convert it to geometry and make a proxy. System units are in mm.
