The Walther PPK (German: Polizeipistole, or police pistol) series pistols are blowback-operated semi-automatic pistols, developed by the German arms manufacturer Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen. Walther PPK, a smaller version of the PP with a shorter grip, barrel and frame, and reduced magazine capacity. The Walther PPK has been James Bond's signature weapon for over 60 years, introduced in the Dr. No novel (1958) and film (1962).
