This original 1/10 scale water tank type 1 comes in 3 versions. Logo and non logo. And a variant of the same water tank with handles.
All versions are a 2 piece print. This includes the water tank body and the tap. 1 of the chosen water tank and 2 of the taps will be needed for the kit to be complete.
The design of the body has 2 holes that will allow water taps to be plugged in. These have a light friction fit and can be in place with super glue or hot glue.
There is also another type of water tank (print files sold separately) (water tank type 2) with a different body style which makes it unique. Both type 1 and type 2 water tanks will allow fitting of the same water tap. Both types of water tanks will look really good when matched with an overland type vehicle.
The water tank and tap can be scaled up or down depending on your specs. But both tank body and taps will need to be scaled at the same time and at the same size to ensure proper fitting of the tap.
It is also recommended that the tap is printed with a resin printer as the size itself will be a struggle for filament printers to print. The tank itself however can be printed with filament printers, although resin is still recommended.
Post processing is the same with our other products. Use a spray primer depending on your resin type, then either spray paint or hand paint with model paints to your own liking. Top it off with thin coats of UV-proof clear spray.To get the logo’s background to a different colour, it is recommended to first spray a layer of your desired paint, then hand paint the rest. Remember to spray UV-proof clear coats at the end. Feel free to use the renderings as an inspiration for your colour schemes!
