This 3D model is a reconstruction of a historic Sunni Islamic mosque gatehouse of the 16th-century Kargilik Great Mosque in Kargilik, Xinjiang Province (PROC), which was totally dismantled in 2018. It was once the largest and most accomplished architectural wonder built by Uyghur community. Kargilik Mosque was built in the style of Central Asian Islamic Architecture (influenced by Persian) with a touch of Uyghur regionality, featuring mudbrick construction and predominantly blue-green tileworks.
Due to the absence or lack of old photographs capturing the entirety of this mosque compound, I have only restored its gatehouse model which was always the main attraction and most iconic section.
This mosque gatehouse model might be ideal for historical visualizations, architectural renders, VR/AR experiences, educational projects, heritage reconstructions, or even simply personal collections.
