Alamosaurus: The Titan of North America

Alamosaurus was a colossal titanosaur that roamed North America during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago. Growing up to 100 feet long and weighing over 30 tons, it was one of the largest dinosaurs to have ever lived in the region. This long-necked herbivore had a powerful tail for defense and pillar-like legs to support its massive frame. Despite its size, Alamosaurus may have been preyed upon by large theropods like Tyrannosaurus. Fossil evidence suggests it thrived in floodplains and woodlands, feeding on vegetation high above the ground. As one of the last surviving sauropods before the mass extinction, Alamosaurus represents the final chapter of North America's giant dinosaurs.
