The 3D model I am releasing this time is the 'C-123 Provider,' a transport aircraft that was historically operated by the US Air Force and various other nations, with some still in service today.

This aircraft played a significant role during the Vietnam War thanks to its excellent transport capabilities. After the introduction of the C-130, some were converted into Agent Orange sprayers and continued to see service. The Republic of Korea Air Force also operated this aircraft; however, due to several crashes that resulted in the loss of many soldiers, it unfortunately gained a reputation as a Widow Maker.

Despite this, the C-123 was by no means an insignificant aircraft. Previous transport planes like the C-46 Commando, C-47 Skytrain, and C-54 Skymaster were essentially passenger airliners with cabins converted for cargo, resulting in poor loading/unloading efficiency and cargo capacity. In contrast, the C-123 brought a dramatic improvement in efficiency by adopting design concepts found in modern transport aircraft, such as landing gears housed in fuselage bulges, a high-wing/low-deck configuration, and a rear loading ramp.

The creation process took about 4 days in total. I worked on the fuselage and wings on Day 1, the windows and doors on Day 2, and the landing gears on Days 3 and 4. I initially planned to model the interior as well, but that plan was ultimately scrapped.

On a side note, I previously created an An-124 transport aircraft back in 2022. Comparing the two, I can clearly see that my skills have improved dramatically since then, which gives me a great sense of satisfaction.
