Apatosaurus is an enormous sauropod that lived during the Jurassic Period, between 150 to 154 million years ago. With an average length of 23m (75ft) and a mass of at least 16 metric tons, but as much as 35 tons. It's skull was proportionally small and the jaws were lined with chisel-like teeth, suited to an herbivorous diet.
