The ASCOD Schützenpanzer Ulan SPz 1 was the basic version of the Spanish-Austrian IFV for the Austrian Army. It was the most austere member of the ASCOD family, and the 112 units acquired by the Austrian army have been modernized to versions 2 and 3.
