This model is organized on layers and groups.
Lighting windows is obtained by procedural light map on self illumination slot.
With the parameters you can adjust , lighting and color of lights and decide the percentage of illuminated windows.
This model is a generic city, based on Los Angeles.
Some buildings are really original buildings in los Angeles ( 777 Tower, Aon Center, Figueroa At Wilshire, ) other buildings are in los Angeles style, the rest are generic buildings.
Positioning of the buildings is random, and you can change the position easily.

The rendering is setup in Vray.
Lighting is included.
I also included a non-illuminated 3ds Max version with standard materials (if you do not use Vray).
No 3rd party plugin needed.
Lighting is included only in the 3ds Max version and materials may appear different in other program formats.
Each Building have a Color Map,Light Self illumination Map and Bump Map.
Also includes Specular Map Mask , applied to Buildings with reflection windows.
