Photorealistic rigged Earth 3d model. Everything you should know before buying this model you can find in attached pdf file. Renders are slightly color corrected in Photoshop (Curves+Hue/Sat/Br).
Features of this model:
– very powerful easy to use rig (see pdf manual);
– ultrahigh texture quality (up to 86k);
– day/night cycle change in one click thanks to option presets;
– one procedural ultrarealistic atmosphere material;
– procedural sky map with ability to change its brightness on the fly;
– earth and clouds materials both have several variants with different texture quality and ability to switch between them on the fly without even entering material editor (see pdf manual). This feature is unique, you’ll never find it anywhere in other models;
– 3d model of all continents is included and aligned with texture maps. This provides an opportunity for navigation without without the need to display diffuse texture in the viewport. This saves a lot of computer resources.
– there is a hemisphere helper in the scene that simulates earth shadow. It is wired with sun position. You can easily find the terminator line without prerenders.

All scene files were checked in the corresponding 3ds max versions and saved in them.
Mesh:
Earth, Clouds and Atmosphere objects all have equal meshes. It is standart box with segmets 100x100x100 with spherify modifier. There is no Turbosmooth because it ruins texture mapping. Spheres also have the same position in the scene (0, 0, 0). The only difference between them is radius.
Textures:
– Diffuse (8k - 86k);
– Self-Illumination (8k - 86k);
– Dispalce (8k - 43k);
– Clouds (8k - 43k);
– Reflection (8k - 16k).
Diffuse texture was color corrected for natural look from space. Clouds texture was totally rebuild for removing artefacts with the help of A.I. and other different techniques. Self-Illumination texture is cleared from artefacts. All textures by default are in .jpg format. A lot of tests showed that there is no difference in close renders either using .jpg format or the .tif one. But you can also find 16bit tif textures in "Textures_TIF" archive. Also all 86k textures were divided each on 4 pieces for a quicker uploading. In 3ds max material browser these pieces are assembled to one seamless texture by the Composite map.

There is a Ctrl_Root object in the scene that has an Attribute Holder in its modifier stack where you can find all necessary parameters for extra quick changes and two presets – for day and night renders.
