3D model descriptionThe Freedom-Class Littoral Combat Ship is one of the most distinctive and capable vessels in the modern US Navy fleet — a fast, agile, and highly versatile warship designed for operations in shallow coastal waters where larger surface combatants cannot effectively operate. Built for speed, modularity, and multi-mission flexibility, the Freedom Class can be rapidly reconfigured for surface warfare, anti-submarine operations, or mine countermeasures, making it one of the most tactically adaptable ships afloat. This 1:96 scale model brings her to life at an impressive 120 cm from bow to stern, shaped through extensive photographic reference and careful reconstruction of hull lines and deck arrangements. Every major feature of the real vessel is faithfully represented — from the distinctive twin-level superstructure and angular mast assembly to the flight deck, aircraft hangar with operational doors, and the uniquely complex stern section housing the ship's advanced waterjet propulsion system. The model is fully RC-ready from the ground up, with articulated control surfaces, multiple propulsion configurations including single propeller, dual waterjet, and quadruple waterjet options, along with dedicated motor mounts for each — giving builders the freedom to choose exactly how their ship moves on the water. If you are new to RC boat building or are looking for a more budget-friendly entry point, a simplified propeller-only version of this model is also available at a lower price, check our models.3D printing settingsDesigned to be accessible on most standard FDM printers with a minimum print bed of 22×22 cm and 25 cm print height, all hull and deck pieces are sliced to fit comfortably within these dimensions, making this 120 cm warship achievable without any specialist equipment. The hull sections feature precision-engineered alignment details and integrated mounting geometry so pieces come together cleanly and accurately, and dedicated clip types are included to hold everything firmly in place while adhesive sets. Underwater hull and topside components are separated into distinct parts throughout, allowing builders to use different filament colors for the antifouling hull below the waterline and the superstructure above — eliminating an entire painting step straight from the printer. For color printer owners, a 3MF file with full embedded colors and textures is included for a vivid, ready-to-display result. All deck panels are removable and can be configured as functional RC access lids or secured using standard 5mm diameter, 2.5mm tall magnets for tool-free access during RC operations — particularly convenient when working on electronics and batteries on the water — or glued shut permanently for a clean display finish, with screw holes on every panel for easy reopening whenever needed. The package contains a comprehensive library of accessories and optional details — including a detailed captain's bridge interior, deck weapons, masts, barriers, rafts, figures, display stands, and much more — giving every builder full control over the final level of detail and finish they want to achieve.
