Giraffatitan was one of the tallest dinosaurs to ever walk the Earth, living around 150 million years ago during the Late Jurassic period in what is now Tanzania. Closely related to Brachiosaurus, this sauropod stood out for its incredibly long neck and front legs, which gave it a giraffe-like posture and allowed it to browse treetops well above other herbivores. Reaching heights of up to 40 feet and lengths over 70 feet, Giraffatitan used its towering frame to feed on leaves and soft vegetation. Its massive size likely deterred predators, making it a peaceful but powerful presence in its ancient ecosystem.
