I liked the look of these little guys, but in reality the mesh wasn't going to turn out like the shapeways one, my machine just isnt capable of that fine resolution to hide the low polygon count, so I just upped it considerably and smoothed off any errors, I didn't want to play with the actual mesh too much, I just want to paint one and would prefer a nice finish.
