LORE: A relatively new addition to the Imperial Space Fleet's arsenal. Initially, the Empire used exclusively kinetic cannons and rocket weapons to equip its space ships, but the terrible results of the War of Greed forced the authorities to reconsider their attitude towards more advanced and complex types of ship weapons.
