Indonesia officially signed a contract to purchase two Istif-class (often referred to as I-class) frigates from Turkey in July 2025 at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025). The agreement involves PT PAL Indonesia and the Turkish shipyard, TAIS Shipyard.
