The Giza Pyramids and Great Sphinx are a world-renowned archaeological site on the Giza Plateau, near Cairo, Egypt. The complex includes the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with the Great Sphinx and other structures like temples and tombs. The Sphinx, a massive monolithic statue of a lion's body with a pharaoh's head, is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre and dates from the same 4th Dynasty period as the pyramids (c. 2613–2494 BC).
