The Type 31 is based on the Danish Iver Huitfeldt class frigate. It is being built for the the Royal Navy as the Inspiration Class. The first of class will be HMS Venturer. The Merlin HC4 helicopter is the Royal Navy's main anti-submarine/utility helicopter.
