Description

Captain America's Shield is a fictional character object. It is a primary defensive and offensive weapon made out of vibranium that was extensively used by Steve Rogers. During the Battle of Earth in 2023, the vibranium shield was destroyed by Thanos. After traveling to an alternate timeline, Rogers procured an alternate vibranium shield and brought it to the original timeline, where he bestowed it to Sam Wilson. However, Wilson elected to give the shield to the Smithsonian Institution for preservation, although it was acquired by the United States Department of Defense and given to John Walker, to whom they gave the mantle of Captain America.
