This hard-surface low-poly game-ready weapon asset is a deployable shield that could be used in many game types. With it's futuristic sci-fi look it could be used in cyberpunk, alien, police, military, zombie apocalypse type scenarios. It is packed with utility and use cases as well as potential for upgrades (hence the lore on the splash screen!)

The main aim of the piece was to create a deployable shield that anchored into the ground somehow. I also really wanted to incorporate an 'anti-grab' device in there as this is how I've seen rioters/zombies break defences, I went with a simple roll bar at the top, but also liked the idea of one that shocks attackers, the panel line around that area implying an interchangeable upgrade.

Textures are 4k PBR baked from procedurally generated and unwrapped with non-overlapping islands and can be easily re-hued.

It took approx one week in total.
