Description

German armored cruiser during the First world war. He became famous for his successful raider actions against merchant shipping and allied warships in the Indian ocean. From August 1 to November 9, 1914 captured 23 merchant ships, sank the Russian cruiser Pearl and the French destroyer. Was emphasized strict observance of the laws and customs of war at sea team and the commander of the cruiser, the humane treatment of prisoners.
