  • Description

Base for the model:The Russian Gepard-class frigates, Russian designation Project 11661. The first unit of the class, Yastreb (Hawk). She was launched in July 1993, completed by late 1995. Renamed Tatarstan, the ship was finally completed in July 2002

The Gepard-class was designed from the outset as a lightweight, inexpensive export vessel. Russia offers three variants of the class to the market.Gepard 3.9: designed to search, track and fight against surface, underwater and air enemy independently and within task force, plant mine fields, provide protection and patrol of maritime state border and exclusive economic zone, perform combat missions, patrol service. Powered by gas-turbine engines with CODOG configuration. Fitted with two inclined quadruple launchers for eight Kh-35 anti-ship missiles with capability to be featured with VLS systems such as UKSK (for cruise missiles such as Club-N and Yakhont) and Shtil-1 air-defense system. Being the only exported variant with Vietnam being its first and only operator.Batch I and II have different armaments and equipment. The images found differ significantly.Meanwhile, the ships have a closed hangar instead of the open one. The arrangement of the AK-630 and Palash was not changed, unlike the model in the original. In the superstructure area, the stealth capabilities were changed. The firing direction of the uranium launchers across the ship's axis was also retained, rather than parallel to the ship's axis as in Batch II.Batch III is only available as a project or as a model at weapons shows. This version will probably be further developed as Gepard 5.1 or Gepard 5.3.The models themselves are modeled in Blender. A division into different groups was necessary because of the large number of objects. The model is not suitable for 3D printing and must then be revised itself
