Imperial as far as possible, Cudgel fully lives up to its name. Although not heavy on firepower, yet robust, simple and reliable, this section was the perfect complement to the Imperial Navy. Cudgels are often installed on medium-sized ships like frigates, well suited for both patrol and picket missions. The reason for this is, not least, the large number of small gun slots, well suited for overwhelming point defence fire.
