The Type 1936-class destroyers were a group of six German Kriegsmarine vessels built in the late 1930s, representing a refinement of earlier designs. With improved seaworthiness and better endurance compared to their predecessors, they were active participants in early World War II operations, including the Norwegian Campaign. Although fewer in number, these ships were known for their heavy armament and aggressive silhouette, making them stand out among European destroyers of the era.
