The Ordnance Quick-Firing 17-pounder (17 pdr gun)was a 76.2 mm / 3 inch gun developed by the United Kingdom during World War II. It was used as an anti-tank gun on its own carriage, as well as equipping a number of British tanks as the Sherman Firefly, the A30 Challenger and the A34 Comet. Also this gun is used in the tank killers Achilles and Arche. It was the most effective antitank gun of british army, capable of dealing with all german panzers except the Tiger II (in front view)
The first 100 guns were quickly sent to North Africa to help counter the Tiger threat. They were sent before proper carriages had been developed, and had to be mounted in the 25-pounder carriages. These early weapons were known as 17/25-pounders and given the codename Pheasant.
This is a full detailed mesh, with all movile parts. The file includes the gun, a ammunition box and two different antitank projectiles. The original LW file includes a full rigged scene.
